Lemon Sauce: 3 Helpful Tips to Turn Snags into Success
Have you ever had an unexpected obstacle pop up just as you’re gaining momentum toward a goal? I know I have! And while it’s sooo frustrating, it doesn’t have to
Whew, just got back from ‘the happiest place on earth’ with my two favorite little princesses in tow! We went on LEAP day, and I’ve been to Disneyland a lot, but have never seen it THAT crowded! But watching our granddaughter’s little faces light up as they met the Disney Princesses and rode the tea cups, etc. was so worth it – real-life fairytale moments!
Now, switching gears from fairy dust to four-leaf clovers, let’s talk about the magic of March and a little Irish cheer I’m excited to share with you…
Ahh, March, the month where everything starts to feel a wee bit greener, doesn’t it? Though I don’t do corned beef and beer myself, I do have Irish ancestors that I love honoring by wearing green and embracing the festive vibes this month brings.
Speaking of Irish spirit, let me share a little wisdom from the Emerald Isle that you’ve probably heard before, but I think we could all be reminded of as we move into the month ahead:
“May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind always be at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields.”
Isn’t that so simple and lovely? It’s essentially wishing you all the ideal companions and conditions to make your path a little easier. The imagery of the road, wind, sun, and rain evokes a sense of being supported, nurtured, and cared for by the world around you. Almost like having nature itself as your sidekick through life’s journey.
But how can we actually apply that to our daily life? Great question my friend, here are three ways:
1) Even on the toughest days, try to find at least three small things to be grateful for. It could be as simple as the warm sun coming through the window while you eat breakfast, or noticing the first flowers of the season popping through the soil, or a smile from a kind stranger you pass on your walk. Those tiny bright spots have a way of lifting our spirits and keeping us going.
2) Give yourself grace during the stormy spells. If you find yourself caught in a downpour of hardship or strife, don’t be afraid to seek someplace dry and warm to wait it out for a bit. The Irish blessing comforts us by saying the “rains fall soft upon your fields” – not a destructive force, but part of life’s nurturing rhythms.
3) Use this month to spread a little more joy and cheer. The world could definitely use more of that Irish optimism! So let’s embrace the lucky vibes of March, shall we? Whether you’re rocking green from head to toe or just sporting a festive pin, find creative ways to infuse your daily routine with positivity and laughter. It could be as simple as starting your day with an uplifting playlist or sending funny memes to your friends.
Let’s channel all those lucky leprechaun vibes this month and treat March as our green light to have more fun, take things a little less seriously, and sprinkle a bit of that magical Irish cheer into our everyday hustle. That’s a fun challenge, eh?
Much Love,
Carolyn
